As you walk into the studio, and as your eyes adjust to the dim lights you begin to see the type of world you have walked into. This is a world filled full of expression, a world where everyone feels free to shares their lives using the skills and abilities their creator gave them. This a safe community where everyone learns to bear their soul, and it is considered a more authentic community because of it. You and the other people come searching not only for a creative community, a place to express who you were created to be, but also for the creator. For a larger purpose, for a reason to live that is greater than just creativity, or community, or a sense of safety and belonging.Studio22 HSM exists as a ministry of Rose Drive in order to provide a creative, safe, intentional community where students can learn how to express their lives to the world in the ways that God has created them. This environment is rooted in Jesus definition of the greatest commandment, to love God and to love others.Over the past few years the high school ministry at Rose Drive has undergone transition. Transition can be a scary time in any organization, especially in a church ministry. During this time of transition God has proved faithful and in control as he has guided the ministry, the leadership, and the lives of His students.As the Studio22 HSM staff journeys alongside and ministers to students, there are four values that we strive to shape our ministry around. At times over the past two years, we have done an excellent job at leading according to our values, and at other times, we have fallen short of the markers that we have set for ourselves. We know that ministry and life are a journey; an experience between God and His people. As we continue on the journey, we count on God to help us to be faithful and effective in leading students in a way that helps them in their journey with God.
